A natural brow expert, award winning educator, mother and respected industry leader, Toni has spent the past 16 years shaping both brows, but careers. With her books closed to new clients since 2020, her influence is undeniable, resonating as strongly with loyal clients as it does with brow and lash professionals across the globe.

We sat down with Toni to explore her journey, the evolution of her brand and the values that continue to guide her impact within the beauty industry.

The Toni brand wasn’t born from a strategic business plan or a desire for rapid expansion. In fact, its beginnings were entirely organic. “It came from a deep love of natural brows and natural brow education,” Toni explains, “and a frustration with how little honesty and real education existed in the industry at the time.” At a point when education felt overcomplicated, product driven and, at times, confusing, Toni chose a different path, one grounded in simplicity, experience and transparency. Her approach stripped back unnecessary steps and focused instead on what truly worked. With 16 years of industry experience, still performing treatments up to 40 times a week, Toni built her entire career around mastering one treatment brow lamination and teaching it honestly. Her mission was clear: to prove that success was possible without overcomplication, gatekeeping or hype. “I didn’t envision the scale it’s reached,” she admits. “In my eyes, I’m still just Toni, teaching what I know because I love it.” The brand’s growth, she believes, has been a natural result of consistency, integrity and staying unapologetically true to herself.

Inspired by industry gaps and personal resilience, Toni’s greatest inspiration came from the industry itself and the gaps she saw within it. “There were incredibly talented technicians lacking confidence, support and relatable education,” she says. “I wanted to create something human — a space where you didn’t need a big brand to validate you.” Her own journey also played a pivotal role. Like many in the industry, Toni learned through trial, error and resilience, navigating moments of self-doubt and external criticism along the way. As a single mother to two daughters, aged nine and six, her motivation runs even deeper. “Everything I do is for them,” she shares. “For us to have a life where we don’t need to worry.” That maternal instinct extends naturally into her teaching, Toni finds herself in “complete “mum mode” she explains, “I just want to get the best out of them”. Many students describe Toni as a grounding presence, someone who believes in them often before they believe in themselves. Messages of thanks, even from students’ parents, speak volumes about the confidence she helps cultivate. “That,” Toni says, “is everything.”

The brand behind Toni is what makes Toni so distinctive. When asked to define the Toni McEvoy brand in three words, her answer was immediate: Authentic. Honest. Human.

Authenticity lies at the heart of everything she does. Toni doesn’t follow industry footsteps, she creates her own path, sharing real experiences, including moments of uncertainty and growth. Honesty is non-negotiable. She speaks openly about the realities many artists feel but hesitate to voice, offering reassurance and clarity in an industry that can often feel overwhelming. And above all, she remains human. “There’s no separation between me and the brand,” she explains. “What you see is what you get.” This alignment is something Toni protects fiercely, believing it to be the foundation of trust with students, other brow techs and clients alike. To date, Toni has educated over 450 students internationally, many of whom have gone on to transform a passion for brows into sustainable, thriving businesses.

Networking and partnerships have played a role in Toni’s growth, but always with intention. “I’m selective,” she says. “I value genuine connection over visibility for visibility’s sake.” Rather than chasing every opportunity, Toni focuses on collaborations that align with her values and standards in particular, partnerships that reinforce credibility rather than dilute the brand’s essence.

With growth and partnerships comes pressure, and Toni is candid about the challenges expansion can bring. “There have absolutely been moments where I’ve questioned direction,” she admits. “The risk is always losing what made the brand special.”

Learning when to say no has been one of her greatest lessons, even when opportunities appeared tempting on paper. For Toni, alignment always outweighs scale. “I’d rather stay true to myself and wait for the right opportunities than compromise who I am.”

Through her journey, Toni has learned that resilience isn’t always about pushing harder.

Sometimes it’s about resting, pivoting, or taking a slower path but one that still gets you there.” Adaptability, she believes, is a strength, not a weakness, as long as core values remain intact. For technicians just starting out, her advice is refreshingly grounded:

Focus on your craft, not the algorithm. Build your skills and client base before chasing scale. Stay consistent, stay curious and don’t rush the process.” Because longevity, Toni reminds us, is built quietly, long before success looks impressive from the outside.
