The flat brow is quickly emerging as one of the biggest beauty trends to watch, and surprisingly, it has nothing to do with skincare. Inspired by Korean beauty aesthetics and amplified by K-pop culture, this understated yet striking brow shape is set to dominate this year and for more reasons than you might think.
We spoke to brow expert Stanley Lupson, founder of Lupson Brows, to get the lowdown on what makes the trend so distinctive and how to pull it off. According to Lupson, technique is everything. “The trick to pulling off a flat brow is all in the technique,” he says. “Flat brows look best when they’re slightly fuller. Over-thinning can make them appear harsh. They should be subtle, not completely flat. There’s a fine line between snatched and Spock brows.”
Face shape also matters; “They’re particularly flattering on longer or oval faces, as they visually shorten the face. On rounder faces, softening them prevents widening,” he explains. When it comes to styling, he recommends focusing on brushwork rather than product. “You want them to look feathered, not fluffy. My top tip is to straighten the brow hairs using a microfibre brush, then go back in and feather them ever so slightly with an interdental brush.”
For those already intrigued by K-pop’s next beauty wave, the “snatched” brow predicted to trend in 2026 is all about nuance. Lupson says, “I’d agree, but with a bit of nuance. It isn’t about a dramatically snatched brow. It’s more about creating a clean, elongated brow that subtly lifts the eye area while maintaining its softness.”

The flat brow isn’t just a trend, its clearly about the mindset too. It celebrates the natural shape of the brow rather than working against it, offering a soft, relaxed, and effortlessly modern alternative to the ultra-arched look so many of us go-to. Celebrities have already embraced it, with the likes of Kendall Jenner, Ariana Grande, and Uma Thurman all taking on the trend. Stanley even has a personal favourite: “Kendall Jenner is my forever brow crush.”
So if you’re anything like me and you’ve spent years trying to force an arch into naturally straight brows, the flat brow trend is your permission slip to embrace what you’ve already got. Soft, straight, and subtly structured, proves that sometimes the boldest beauty statement is the most effortless one.
